Illinois Work Incentives Support Center

Cornell publication, Promising Practices, about Illinois advanced referral systemThe SSI Coalition received funding to provide technical support and training for community-based providers on Social Security Work Incentives programs.

The WISC provided ongoing states’ benefits training while giving technical assistance by answering questions that arose from the preparation of individualized benefits analyses. The Center offered training to a variety of parent support groups, private vocational rehabilitation agencies and Centers for Independent Living on work incentives available through the Social Security Administration, Illinois Department of Human Services, and the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
